 This
2-console-16-computer KVM switch enables one user to operate up to
sixteen computers from one of two different locations. While in idle,
both consoles show the same computer information; but only  one
console has control at a time. For security reasons, only one console
has the information when it takes control and the other console's
screen is blanked leaving the keyboard LEDs (Num/Caps/Scroll Lock)
flashing.
To gain control is as simple as moving your mouse or typing your keyboard.
A timeout setting in the OSD menu defines the amount of time before
the KNV2116D returns to idle after someone has just operated it.
 Select
a computer by front push buttons, by hot key commands or by the on-screen
pop up menu. The OSD menu enables you to assign computer names, identify
and select computer by the names. Programmable scan lets you select
computers of interest during automatic and manual scan operations.
Password security prevents unauthorized access.
To expand your control up to 136 computers, you can easily cascade
up to eight KNV116D switches.
KNV2116D has Standard VGA and PS/2 connectors enabling you to use
off-the-shelf PC cables for short distance connection. It is compatible
to both PC/AT serial and PS/2 mice and keyboard. Mixing computers
of both styles is no problem in the same installation. Rextron provides
high quality UL-2919 rated 3-in-1 cables for superb VGA quality and
long distance applications up to 75 ft (25M).

NovaViews with built-in OSD control, you can name your
computers, switch to a desired computer from a list, configure
settings with easy-to-use menus, view the name of the
selected computer on-screen with programmable time interval,
etc. Besides, the OSD displays the system status and your
NovaView layout throughout operation. Improved technology
ensures steady OSD menu between computers of different
VGA resolutions and smooth switching without leaving OSD
garbage characters on the screen. |

technology enables you to connect computers with either
PS/2 or serial mouse ports to the NovaView, and control
the computers from one PS/2 mouse. With a special mouse
adapter connected to a computer using serial mouse, the
NovaView automatically identifies the mouse and switches
to proper mouse protocol. |
