The Rextron Dual Display HDMI USB Extender consists of a transmitter (USB host) and a receiver (USB device) unit and extends dual HDMI, two-way audio, USB 2.0, IR and RS-232 signals up to 1000 meters over two multi-mode fiber cables. Unique Audio Embedder and Audio Extractor features are designed specifically for video editing and content creation. Dual HDMI supports Duplicate and Extend applications, allowing multiple monitor setups to expand your desktop and workspace across multiple displays.

FXXMS-M043, Dual Display HDMI USB extender, provides 4 USB 2.0 ports on the front and back of the receiver unit (Rx), suitable for both long term and temporary USB peripheral connection and supports most popular operating systems without any software or driver installation, including Windows, Mac, Chrome and Linux.

2-Way Audio

Extender unit Bi-directional audio extension function is activated and independently transmits audio signal from the transmitter unit to the receiver unit and vice versa. 2-way audio is of great importance in PA systems, especially in emergency situations, to notify users in the control centre and server room of operational issues, and to enable remote communication and coordination.

Unique Audio Embedding/ De-Embedding Function

Audio embedding function embeds audio signal from 3.5mm analogue stereo audio source into HDMI signal and audio de-embedding function extracts HDMI audio into 3.5mm stereo audio. Rextron Dual Display HDMI USB Extender FXXMS-M043 allows users to embed the audio signal in various ways for more informative content such as video editing by adding or subtracting the voiceover sound and background music.

IR Extension

The IR function supports the full frequency IR signal range from 38KHz to 56KHz. In addition, the distance between the emitter head and the IR port on the unit can be extended to provide users with a flexible and easy way to install IR control systems (up to 3m of IR cable sold separately).

Serial Extension with Selectable Baud Rate Setting

Full duplex data communication between Tx and Rx is the cost effective hardware based solution. FXXMS-M043 provides remote access and control of any RS-232 protocol device supporting various baud rate settings from 9,600~115,200 (8 baud rates selectable) without any setup or configuration. The RS-232 serial extension is suitable for use in digital signage, industrial or commercial offices, smart classrooms and smart conference rooms.
