Digital Signage OEM/ODM Project - Asia Airport
An Asian international airport features a budding travel hub that receiving millions of visitors a year, wants to engage 4K broadcasting technology to control and extend different video contents to the whole airport. The solution needs to introduce the guests to what the airport is offering, displaying vivid images and creative campaigns in multiple destinations all while.
Customer demands
During the operation of the airport, the broadcast content cannot be terminated; once the broadcast stops, there is a mechanism to make the digital signage continue to broadcast the video. Relevant engineers do not need to rush to the local area for repairs immediately.
The system can play videos stably during the daytime, adjust the volume, and shut down the TV or monitor at midnight as desired.
Solution 1: 2 Ports Auto Sensing KVM Switch
Considering the videos could not be stopped, we used auto-sensing technology specially designed 2 ports 4K HDMI KVM Switch for this customer. This KVM switch can automatically detect the last HDMI input signal. If the active HDMI port becomes unavailable, it will automatically switch to the standby HDMI port to keep the video playing continuously. In addition to the auto-detecting function, we designed auto scanning function features monitoring all connected activities like audio, video, or USB ports.
Solution 2: HDMI over IP KVM Extender
To fulfill customer’s demand to broadcast the video to dozens of video walls in the airport. We adopted AV over IP technology, ODM 4K over IP broadcasting system for this customer, provided point to point and matrix switching capability to broadcast the video content s to more than 1,000 displays.
To make the operator control the system easier, we designed the mobile App for this customer. Now the operator can depend on the passenger flow to control the video sources or adjust the volume of TV audio even shut down or turn on a part of the TV via serial signals.

This system enables users to adjust the playing video content as desired on any video wall by mobile App and ensures non-stop video playing, even provides the flexibility in expansion in the future.
