DP KVM Fiber Extender, FXPS-M06K, consists of a transmitter (host) and a receiver (device) unit that allows you to extend 4K video/ audio/ USB 2.0/ IR/ RS-232 signals over LC S-M/ M-M fiber optic cabling. It transmits 4K@60Hz DP video up to 70km (229,660ft) over OS2 single-mode fiber.

● Flexible Tx/Rx pairing: Compatible with Rextron HDMI extenders that meet the same specifications.


USB 2.0 Hub: Plug and Play USB 2.0 peripheral sharing

The Rextron DP KVM Fiber Extender supports USB 2.0 expansion function. 4 USB 2.0 ports on the front and rear of the receiver unit (Rx) are suitable for both long-term and temporary connection of USB peripherals. The USB hub supports most popular Windows, Mac, Chrome OS and Linux operating systems.

Audio Extension: 2-Way Audio

Extender unit Bi-directional audio extension function is activated and independently transmits audio signal from the transmitter unit to the receiver unit and vice versa. 2-way audio is of great importance in PA system applications, especially in emergency situations, to notify users in the control centre and server room of operational issues, and to enable remote communication and coordination.

Unique Audio Embedding/ De-Embedding Function

The audio embedder function embeds audio from a 3.5mm analogue stereo audio source into the DP signal, and the audio de-embedder function extracts DisplayPort audio into a 3.5mm stereo audio. The Rextron KVM extender FXPS-M06K allows users to embed the audio signal in various ways for more informative content, such as video editing by adding or subtracting the voiceover sound and background music.

IR Extension

The IR extension function supports the full frequency IR signal range from 38KHz to 56KHz. In addition, the distance between the emitter head and the IR port on the unit can be extended to provide users with a flexible and easy way to install the IR control systems (up to 1.4 meters of IR cable sold separately).


Serial Extension with Selectable Baud Rate Setting

Full duplex data communication between Tx and Rx is the cost effective hardware based solution. FXPS-M02K provides remote access and control of any RS-232 protocol device without any setup or configuration. The RS-232 serial extension is suitable for use in digital signage, industrial or commercial offices, smart classrooms and smart conference rooms.
