VDDC-8K40, DisplayPort Ghost, plays an EDID emulating role and serves as a communication bridge between the AV source (PC/DVD player) and the AV playback device (monitor/projector). Based on DP 1.4 specification, DP Ghost displays the highest resolution of 7680x4320@30Hz, and supports the latest DP 1.4 technologies such as HDR/ FEC/ SSC/ DSC . The unique EDID export function allows the EDIDs stored in the memory banks to be easily transferred to the computer via a USB-C cable for advanced analysis.
The Rextron VDDC Series Auto EDID function eliminates the complicated process and provides Auto EDID Reading and Auto EDID Copy. This allows beginners to learn painlessly. For advanced users, the EDID emulation function mimics a display connection (virtual display) and force AV source devices to perform all normal operations without an external display.

1+3 EDID Memory Bank (Store EDID information of 4 different monitors)
The VDDC-8K40 has four sets of memory banks (one preset and three custom EDIDs) for EDID settings, including EDID reading, copy, and emulation procedures. The DisplayPort Ghost provides more memory banks than an ordinary EDID simulator or emulator. These EDIDs can trick the system into emulating a DisplayPort display, i.e., a virtual monitor, to provide continuous video output even when the connected display is disconnected.
