This technology prevents the image from being tearing in the environment of a high-frame-rate gaming display, it can make video game players enjoy smooth and seamless on-the-spot movement through their games.

Rextron Quad Monitor DisplayPort 1.4 KVM switch with USB Hub supports keyboard-mouse operation as well as USB 3.2 Gen 1 peripherals sharing without any software or driver installation. Users can either perform computer switching independently or switch computers in conjunction with USB concurrently. Dedicated USB 3.2 Gen 1 port design on the front and rear side of the quad monitor KVM switch unit suitable for both long-term and temporary USB peripherals access allows users to attach or detach USB devices with ease.

Adaptive Sync, known as VRR., allows users to change the display's refresh rate based on the actual video frames per second. Similar technologies include Free Sync, G-Sync, HDMI VRR... The adaptive sync prevents the image from tearing in the environment of a high frame rate gaming display, which is popular among DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 users for less response time. Rextron DisplayPort 1.4 KVM Switch makes switching among adaptive sync sources possible.

What does DisplayPort 1.4 stand for? Does DisplayPort 1.4 support 8K resolution?

DisplayPort 1.4 (hereinafter referred to as DP 1.4) is the latest specification released by VESA. Compared with DP 1.2, DP 1.4 adds the Display Stream Compression (DSC) function, the bandwidth conditions support higher resolutions and frequency update. In addition to DSC technology, the DP 1.4 adds high dynamic range data packet (HDR transport), also improves the performance of video output.

For the difference between DP 1.2 and 1.4, you can refer to the following table. Compared with DP 1.2, DP 1.4 can deliver higher resolution, richer color saturation and higher dynamic contrast images.

If you ask DP 1.4 supports 8K resolution or not. Yes, it supports 8K resolution.
