The Rextron EDID Manager Library VDDC-8K130 is an EDID (Extended Display Identification Data) storage/ editor/ emulator that serves as a communication bridge between AV sources, such as PCs and DVD players, and AV sink devices, such as monitors and projectors. Its memory bank contains a large number of EDID files and is divided into three sections: ED memory (one preset and 29 custom EDIDs); HANDY_B memory (30 EDIDs); and HANDY_G memory (30 EDIDs). These sections are used to store EDID data. This massive volume of EDID data can be used for EDID settings and analysis. Examples include reading, copying, and emulating EDIDs or exporting them for editing with third-party software.

EDID Memory Bank (Store EDID information of up to 90 different monitors)

The EDID Manager Library provides three EDID sections for classification and storage of EDID files and can expand to store up to 90 EDIDs in total. This exceeds the capacity of ordinary EDID simulators or emulators. These EDIDs can trick the video source into emulating an HDMI display, i.e., a virtual monitor, to provide continuous video output even when the connected display is disconnected.

The VDDC-8K130 is equipped with a mini USB cable, Plug & Play eliminating the need for software installation or system configuration. It seamlessly exports the pre-stored EDID data to the computer, imports the modified EDIDs back to the unit, and performs advanced EDID analysis using third-party software. EDID data analysis is particularly well-suited for the development or testing of High Definition video products, as well as for system integration companies seeking to enhance product compatibility.

Based on the HDMI 2.1 specification, the VDDC-8K130 has the highest resolution of 7680x4320@60Hz (4:4:4), supports 48Gbps (FRL6), and is compatible with the latest HDMI 2.1 technologies, such as HDR, VRR, QMS, QFT, and ALLM. The VDDC video booster function amplifies the video signal, enabling users to extend the distance between the monitor and the source device. The EDID export function allows users to easily transfer the EDIDs stored in the memory banks to a computer via a mini USB cable for advanced analysis. The EDID import function allows users to shift the modified EDIDs (CFG file) from a PC to the VDDC memory bank.
