eARC Setting (Enhanced Audio Return Channel)

Thanks to HDMI eARC, the HDMI cable sends both visual and audio signals back and forth between your AV sink device and AV receiver, so less cable management is required and audio data can be transferred solely via the HDMI cable. The Rextron unique eARC slide switch designed on the unit provides a more flexible audio return setup for analog audio, digital audio, and HDMI audio transmission.

HDMI 8K 4K Switch Splitter VKSM-8K212 provides HDMI and 3.5mm audio inputs that bring in multiple audio/video feeds supporting audio embedding and audio de-embedding functions. The audio embedding function embeds audio from a 3.5-mm analog stereo audio to an HDMI signal, while the audio de-embedding extracts the HDMI audio to a SPDIF audio output.

EDID Management

Rextron HDMI 8K 4K Switch Splitter unique EDID configuration technology provides three ways of EDID communication.

EDID Parser: Use either the default or system recommended EDID data for the optimal video display.　

EDID Copy: Copy EDID from the EDID compliant monitor to ensure the accurate output display.

Auto EDID: EDID auto learning temporarily record the EDID data from the EDID compliant monitor.

Serial Control

Built-in RJ-11 serial interface (for DB9 to RJ11 cable) provides users easy and friendly operation. VKSM-8K212 built-in serial interface allows users to control the unit through a PC, serial controller devices or home theater system. Function of switching via serial command on Rextron HDMI 8K 4K Switch Splitter is especially designed for industrial control and communication purposes to enhance the functionality of the switch splitter unit and the serial devices management.
