The EXPS-M063 DP USB KVM extender, which transmits signals via CAT6x, consists of a transmitter (host unit) and a receiver (device unit), allowing you to extend DP, audio, USB 2.0, infrared, and RS-232 signals over copper cable. The device can transmit 4K@60Hz DisplayPort video signals over distances of up to 150 meters (490 feet).


The EXPS-M063 is a DisplayPort extender based on Cat6 cabling that supports USB 2.0 extension. The receiver (Rx) unit features a total of four USB 2.0 ports—located on both the front and rear—accommodating both permanent setups and the convenient, temporary connection of USB peripherals. The DP USB KVM extender is compatible with major operating systems, including Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, and Linux. The EXPS-M063 supports flexible pairing of the transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) units, which means it is compatible with Rextron HDMI KVM extenders of the same specifications.

Infrared Extension

The KVM extender’s IR extension function supports full frequency IR signal range from 38KHz up to 56KHz. Furthermore, the distance between the emitter head and the IR port on the unit may be extended to provide users a flexible and easy way in IR control system installation (maximum 1.4 meters IR cable can be purchased separately).

Serial Extension

Full-duplex data communication between Tx and Rx via CAT6 Cable connection is the cost effective, hardware-based solution, providing remote access and control for all RS-232 protocol devices without any setup or configuration. RS-232 serial extension is suitable to be applied in digital signage, industrial or commercial office, smart classroom, and smart Home system.

2-Way Audio with Unique Audio Embedding/ De-Embedding Function

This DP USB KVM extender features bidirectional audio extension, enabling independent two-way audio signal transmission between the transmitter and receiver. Additionally, its audio embedding and extraction capabilities allow for the independent transmission of audio signals from the transmitter to the receiver—such as embedding audio from a 3.5mm source into the DisplayPort signal or extracting DisplayPort audio as 3.5mm stereo audio. This provides a secondary audio transmission channel, offering significant benefits to content creators involved in video post-production and users integrating the device with home theater amplifiers for audio broadcasting.
