EVBMS-1272X, HDMI Repeater Unit, combines the video switch and video splitter features with bi-directional IR extension, Serial extension (DB9), and IR/Serial (RJ11)/GUI control function and can transmit full uncompressed HDMI over CAT5e / 6 cable of up to 70 meters @1080p.
HDMI Repeater Unit, EVBMS-1272X, allows users to switch between 4 video sources (Local HDMI x3+ RJ45 x1) and then delivers the selected video stream to local (Repeater) and remote side (Rx). The “input auto detecting” function always routes the last connecting stream (as first priority) to the output(s). EVBMS-1272X provides 3 extra modes for input source selection including Manual mode, Auto mode, and Priority mode.

The 4 input sources selection can be carry out thru the slide switch on the rear panel:
• Switch mode: the input sources can be selected thru on-panel buttons, RS-232 serial or IR remote control.
• Auto mode: the last inserted source is automatically selected.
• Priority mode: Input source selected based on the priority level.
HDMI Repeater Unit EVBMS-1272X provides comprehensive EDID management, such as Auto Learning mode, factory default and Copy mode, learning Audio and Video EDID separately to ensure that every video source is displayed at the optimal resolution and format without any compatibility issue. It also enables users to copy or learn EDIDs from the monitor(s) (Local or Rx side) via rear panel EDID button pressing.

EVBMS-1272X supports various ways of control that can be done thru front-panel buttons, RS-232 serial/GUI or IR remote control. The RS-232 serial control, built-in serial interface (RJ11), with Graphical User Interface (GUI) function provides users easy and friendly operation. There’s also an IR sensor window at the front panel designed with great aesthetic and efficiency to quickly and accurately control this unit.
The bi-directional IR extension function supports full frequency range from 38KHz up to 56KHz. Furthermore, the distance between the emitter head and the IR port on the unit may be extended to provide users a flexible and easy way in IR control system installation (maximum 3 meters cable length).
Power over Cable ( PoC ) enables the transfer of DC power over a single Ethernet cable to a distance of up to 70 meters. Thus, single power supply at either end of the extender units, the PoC function is especially useful in the condition when there’s no available power socket at certain side.
EVBMS-1272X Serial extension, the Full-Duplex data communication, can be selected thru the RS 232 slide switch at the rear panel of the unit for two-way communication between the Repeater device, the transmitter, and the receiver unit ( Tx -> Repeater -> Rx). The serial communication can be extended up to 35~70m via Receiver unit (depends on model) connected.
